Black Caucus of the American Library Association Literary Awards: These awards recognize excellence in adult fiction and nonfiction by African-American authors.
Coretta Scott King Award Winners: Recipients are authors and illustrators of African descent whose distinguished books promote an understanding and appreciation of the "American Dream."

Africa South of the Sahara: The directory is maintained by Karen Fung of the African Collection at Stanford University Libraries. It's divided both topically and geographically (so you can look for the Namibian constitution under "Namibia" or under "Politics/Government"), and entries are annotated. There are thousands of entries on many topics, and the site includes websites based outside of Africa (which discuss African-related topics) as well as sites based in African nations. One of the most interesting topic sections is a directory of history resources for K-12 students history resources for K-12 students.
