About Albina Library

The first Albina "library" was a deposit station — a small reading room that housed one hundred books in 1906. After spending some years in the building that today houses The Title Wave Used Bookstore, the library relocated twice, ultimately finding its home in a Northeast Portland shopping plaza. Albina was renovated in 1999. Read more about Albina Library history.

Multnomah County Library's systemwide catalog — two million books, periodicals, music, movies and more — serves patrons of Albina and all neighborhood libraries. Albina patrons also enjoy e-books and downloadable music; research and reading resources; and library events and services, including those especially for kids and teens.
