About Capitol Hill Library

Capitol Hill Library opened in Southwest Portland in 1972. The building was renovated in 1998-99. Read more about Capitol Hill Library history.

Multnomah County Library's systemwide catalog — two million books, periodicals, music, movies and more — serves patrons of Capitol Hill and all neighborhood libraries. Capitol Hill patrons also enjoy e-books and downloadable music; research and reading resources; and library events and services, including those especially for kids and teens.

Capitol Hill's meeting room is available at no charge for community meetings and events on a first-come, first-served basis. It has a 25-person capacity.
