Multnomah County Library's systemwide catalog — two million books, periodicals, music, movies and more — serves patrons of Fairview-Columbia Library and all neighborhood libraries. Fairview-Columbia houses a collection of materials in Spanish and has Spanish-speaking staff. Patrons also enjoy e-books and downloadable music; research and reading resources; and library events and services, including those especially for kids and teens.

The library features a special children's area complete with a large window seat and child-sized furniture.

Fairview-Columbia's meeting room is available at no charge for community meetings and events on a first-come, first-served basis. It has a 20-person capacity.
