Multnomah County Library's systemwide catalog — two million books, periodicals, music, movies and more — serves patrons of North Portland Library and all neighborhood libraries. North Portland houses a collection of materials in Spanish and has Spanish-speaking staff. This library is also home to many works in the Black Resources Collection, a systemwide multimedia collection of materials relating to the African American experience. North Portland Library patrons enjoy e-books and downloadable music; research and reading resources; and library events and services, including those especially for kids and teens.

North Portland's meeting room is available at no charge for community meetings and events on a first-come, first-served basis. It has an 85-person capacity.
