About Woodstock Library

Since the new Woodstock Library building was opened in 2000, it has received numerous awards for its elegant and functional design, including a national honor from the American Institute of Architects and the American Library Association. This Southeast Portland library is the home of a wealth of original artwork, including 36 stainless-steel panels on the exterior of the building etched with words depicting the history of books. Read about Woodstock Library history.

Multnomah County Library's systemwide catalog — two million books, periodicals, music, movies and more — serves patrons of Woodstock Library and all neighborhood libraries. Woodstock also houses collections of materials in Spanish and Chinese, and has Chinese-speaking staff. Patrons enjoy e-books and downloadable music; research and reading resources; and library events and services, including those especially for kids and teens.

Woodstock's meeting room is available at no charge for community meetings and events on a first-come, first-served basis. It has a 32-person capacity.
