February 18, 2012. Writers Talking: Joe Sacco

The internationally known Portland cartoon journalist speaks about his work at a rare engagement at the Multnomah County Central Library.

Joe Sacco's most recent book is Footnotes in Gaza, which was a finalist for the 2012 Oregon Book Award. He is the author of Palestine, which won the American Book Award, and Safe Area Gorazde, which won the Eisner Award and Time Magazine's best comic book of 2000. His work has been translated into 14 languages and has appeared in magazines such as Harper's, Time and Details.

This free event takes place on Saturday, February 18th, 2-4 p.m. at the Central Library, U.S. Bank Room. Space at this program is limited. Free tickets for seating will be available 30 minutes prior to the program. Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Floating World Comics.
