For teens in grades 6-12.

Acompáñenos a un espectáculo cultural de danza folklórica mexicana. Disfrutarán de varios estilos de baile de diferentes regiones de México acompañados con canto. Todas las edades son bienvenidas.

Join us for a cultural performance representing Mexican folklore dance. You will enjoy several styles of dance from different regions of Mexico accompanied by a singer. All ages are welcome.

Reúnase individualmente con alguno de nuestros amables ayudantes de tecnología. Contestamos sus preguntas sobre dispositivos móviles, sitios web, computadoras, cómo comenzar a usar tecnología y mucho más. 

Las sesiones serán de 30 minutos por orden de llegada.  Se llevarán a cabo en Community Room 1B - a la izquierda al entrar la biblioteca

Virtual Tutoring is for students in grades K-12 who need support in language arts, math, science or social studies. 

We offer three terms a year, each running for 8 weeks.

The student’s weekly appointment will be for 30 minutes on Tuesdays, sometime between 4 and 6 pm. They will be assigned an exact timeslot and tutor prior to the start of the term. These remain the same for the entire term.

For teens in grades 6-12.

Homeschoolers ages 9-12 are invited to talk about books, do related activities and eat snacks! This month we will discuss The Phantom Tollbooth, a classic novel where Milo journeys through a fantastical land and learns the importance of words and numbers. Please read the book before the meeting. Registration is required.

A safe place for everyone to be themselves, whoever that may be.

A virtual space to hang out with new friends, share ideas, and find things in common.

A place to advocate for a cause.

A way to support the library while earning volunteer hours.

Are you a Pokémon card fan? If so, join us for some Pokémon free-play! For kids new to Pokémon and experts alike, focusing on cards and Pokémon TCG. Ideal for Grades 3-8, but all Pokémon-loving kids (and their grownups who want to learn more) are welcome!

Do you love anime? Are you in middle school or high school? If so, join our Anime Club! We meet two times a month at the Rockwood Library Makerspace to watch anime, discuss our favorite series, and eat yummy snacks. We can talk about mangas, do anime crafts, and design anime-themed materials as well!

Enjoy making small altarpieces in wood and cardboard, painted in acrylic Caribbean colors to place portraits, ceramics or favorite objects. /Disfruta haciendo retablos pequeños en madera y cartón, pintados en colores caribeños acrílicos para colocar retratos, cerámicas u objetos favoritos

Petals and Thorns Poetry Workshop: Anatomy of a Poem, is a workshop that was created for novice and seasoned writers and poets who are interested in exploring the craft of poetry. No need to have been an English major or a paid author, to declare yourself a poet!
