Film Contest: Make a 90-Second Film!
2011 Newbery Medal Winner
Hey, grown-ups! Here is a fun project that will get your kids excited about reading Newbery winners.
Kids! Here's an excuse to get creative and mess around with video equipment.
The Newbery Medal is the most prestigious award in children's literature and has been given out annually for the past 90 years. Maybe you don't have time to read every single book, but you probably have 90 seconds to spare! Multnomah County Library, with the help of author James Kennedy, will host a 90-Second Newbery Film Festival on March 3, 2012.
Be a part of the festival by making your own film!
Contest Rules
- Anyone can enter.
- Make a video that compresses the story of a Newbery award-winning or honor-winning book into 90 seconds or less.
- Upload your video to a video hosting site like YouTube or Vimeo and email the link to James Kennedy with the subject line "90 SECOND NEWBERY." Include your name (or an alias), age, and city.
- The deadline for submissions is February 13, 2012.
Made possible by The Library Foundation.
