Beyond Fact: Making Science Accessible
Science and technology affect nearly every aspect of our lives, yet many of us don't know enough about these topics to be able to talk with each other, form opinions or participate in decision-making either personally or at a governmental level.
Beyond Fact, a partnership between Multnomah County Library and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, is a new initiative consisting of book discussions, lectures and a community reading project designed to inform, engage and enlighten participants on issues of current importance in the sciences. Beyond Fact is made possible through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
