Button Pendants

Bring your favorite buttons and we'll show you how to wire them into cute pendants, using ordinary plastic canvas as an invisible base.
Please bring:
- Buttons! Bring at least 20-30 because you'll want to make several pendants. Bring a combination of shank buttons and sew-through buttons in all sizes, in any colors you like.
- 24-gauge craft wire, in silver or a color that coordinates with your buttons
- Wire cutters
- Needle-nose pliers
- Scissors
- A small piece of plastic canvas. You'll need only a few square inches per pendant. (We'll have some at the meeting.)
- Large jump rings (We'll have some at the meeting.)
- Something to string your pendant on, if you like

Playing Card Notebooks

Use ordinary playing cards and paper to make cute little notebooks perfect for carrying with you to jot notes or as the basis for tiny art books. We'll make two book styles: an accordion book and a stapled book.
Please bring:
- Playing cards; any size and any design. You'll need two cards per notebook; you'll probably want to make several during the meeting. (If you don't like the look of your playing cards, you can always cover them with cool paper.)
- Paper for the inside pages of your notebook. This can be high-quality paper or everyday printer paper, in white or colors. You'll need at least two 8.5 x 11" sheets of paper per notebook.
- Collage goodies such as fancy paper, old magazines to cut up, favorite pictures printed from your computer and old wrapping paper
- Glue stick and a tube of E6000 if you have some (We'll have some at the meeting.)
- Scissors
- Stapler (We'll have one at the meeting.)
- Embellishments (sequins, stickers, flat-backed gems, ribbon, trim, rubber stamps, paper punches) if you'd like to decorate your books
- We will provide some bookbinding canvas.
