A celebration in honor of International Literacy Day

Representatives from colleges and nonprofit and community-based organizations in Multnomah County will be on hand to meet each other and learn of opportunities to partner.

Life Skills & Literacy

For adults seeking citizenship, GED certificates, English language learning and reading improvement, the celebration is a perfect opportunity to come and have all the experts in one room.

Interpretation in Chinese, Russian, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese will be available.

1-3 p.m.

The organizations will be available to talk informally about the work they do and about the tools they provide to help adults achieve what they want to learn.

4-5 p.m.

Enjoy a light supper/snack of Thai finger food.
Space is limited for the refreshments; free tickets for seating will be available at 3:30 p.m.

5-7 p.m.

Join Colored Pencils Art and Culture Council to see New Portland in action.
This performance celebrates literacy through readings, songs and dances.
Share in the power that comes from story, from art, from writing, from reading.
