Mail Art Exhibit
In May 2007, we asked the public to create postcards about the library and mail them to us: mail art! Mail art is art that is created by one person and sent to another person through the postal service. People have been sending mail art to each other for over 50 years, both in the U.S. and abroad. We received about a hundred pieces! Drawings, collages, small books and photos from 16 different countries will be on display in the Central Library first floor lobby from December 30January 30.
