Take a walk on the spooky side! Enjoy a show of chillers and thrillers told with ghoulish gusto by master storyteller Anne Rutherford. Anne mixes original and vintage horror tales with spooky songs to tingle your spine and tickle your funny bone. Read about Anne Rutherford.

Join us to hear stories and tell your own. Of course you can just show up to listen, but it's much more fun when you participate! Please keep stories to 5 minutes; no reading or performing; think "beginning, middle, end."

Tales of Wonder and Wisdom: An Evening with Rafe Martin (pdf)

An author and a storyteller, Rafe Martin draws on a range of stories that delve deeply into myth and the mysterious realms of the imagination. His stories draw from complex and evocative Irish love tales and myths, original tales of the Animal Dreaming, stories of the Buddhist tradition, eerie Japanese ghostly tales as well as powerful Native American narratives. Join Rafe for an evening of insight and suprises–expect laughter, magic, mystery, love, anguish, and vivid exploration. Read about Rafe Martin.

Southern Air: An evening with Donald Davis (pdf)

Donald Davis was born in a Southern Appalachian mountain world rich in stories. He grew up hearing gentle fairy tales, simple and silly Jack tales, scary mountain lore, ancient Welsh and Scottish folktales and nourishing true-to-life stories of his own neighbors and kin. For Donald, a reitred Methodist minister, storytelling is a way of giving and living life. A review in the Wilson Library Bulletin says Donald's performances are "...absolutely hilarious and unpredictable as well as emotionally reviving." The Next Best Thing: An Evening with Antonio Sacre (pdf)

Antonio Sacre, an award-winning solo performer, storyteller and author, delights audiences with touching and humorous bilingual stories, as well as challenging solo theatrical performances.

Using four stories, three characters, two languages and one flip chart, Sacre delves into the rich territory of his Cuban and Irish upbringing to uncover all of the answers to life's greatest mysteries: Why does every family have one crazy uncle, and how does he fit one million baseball cards in his bedroom? How can the Cuban art of seducing a woman help your love life? Is there ever a proper time and place to use the phrase, "Tally Ho?" How much gold is there in the world, anyway? If you can't have all you ever dreamed of, what is the next best thing? Read about Antonio Sacre.
