Discover the maps at your library!

Your library has a varied collection of maps and atlases. This guide will help you determine:

1. which maps and atlases will provide the information you need
2. how to find the maps and atlases you want

Most maps are housed in the Map Room in the northeastern corner of Central Library's third floor. Most of these maps must be used in the library, but you may check out some of them. Neighborhood libraries also have a few circulating maps.

Finding maps can be difficult, so ask for help if you need it!

The library owns many other historical and specialized atlases and gazetteers that are not mentioned in this guide. Ask at the Literature & History desk in Central Library for information.
