Music in other languages
Multnomah County Library has an extensive collection of recorded world music. To find music in other languages, you can search by the name of the country or by the language. To find the names of languages spoken in particular countries, the website Ethnologue is very useful, and features a world map linking to languages by country.

Select a subject search to find songs in a particular language. Example, songs in Portuguese. Limit to material type CD for recordings.
Example: songs, portuguese limited to material type: music CD.

From the list of results, select a recording that matches what you would like, for example Mares profundos, below.
The subject headings for this recording can lead you to similar recordings, for example Songs, Portuguese -- Brazil..
If you don't find any recordings when searching by language, try a search by the name of the country or nationality.
