Looking for a music score, recording, video or book that is not available at the Multnomah County Library?

Here are some options:

If you need the music within the week, check other Portland-area libraries and library systems:

Metropolitan Interlibrary Exchange
Public library network of local libraries: Multnomah County Library residents are eligible for library cards in other public libraries in the Portland metropolitan area, plus other regional libraries near Portland and Vancouver, Washington. Search the two Portland libraries for materials not available in Multnomah County Library: Clackamas County Library System and Washington County Library System. You can check out all formats of music, including CDs, DVDs, videos, books and music scores, through this service.

Even if you are not affiliated with any of these local colleges or universities, you can use printed publications (books, scores and periodicals) within the library. For music scores, local academic libraries have the most comprehensive collections.
Limit the catalog search to Portland State University or other nearby library that is convenient for you.

Interlibrary Loan: request music scores, books or periodical articles:
Obtain books and music scores that are not available at Multnomah County Library through Interlibrary Loan, available to all customers who live in Multnomah County. Please note: Recordings, videos, archival materials, and special collections publications are not available through interlibrary loan.
