Over 800 species of birds live on the 160-acre sanctuary. The Wildlife Care Center helps 3,000 injured and orphaned birds per year. Visit the Wildlife Interpretive Center's viewing room with lots of birdfeeders.

Observe birds and wildlife in their natural habitat of over 12,000 acres. View the birds from your car or a boat, or take a hike. Look for the blue heron, Portland's official bird. Visit Bybee-Howell House, an early pioneer home, open during the summer. No website is available. Look for more wildlife viewing areas at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
