ABOUT DAVID WIESNER Driven by his rich imagination, David Wiesner has been drawing since his days as a child in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Action comics and Mad Magazine inspired him in grade school. By high school, he was creating silent movies and wordless comic books. He graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a B.F.A. in illustration. Wiesner's books include Sector 7, June 29, 1999, Tuesday, Free Fall and Hurricane. Wiesner has also illustrated countless children's books authored by others. His paintings have been displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago. David Wiesner and his wife, Kim Kahng, live in Brooklyn, New York with their two children, Kevin and Jaime.
