Peg Kehret: Escaping the Giant Wave

I really enjoyed this book. It's about a brother and sister that take a trip to the Oregon Coast. They think it will just be a normal trip, but when the bully shows up there and a tsunami hits, they know this trip has turned to disaster. What will they do to save their lives and others lives? I recommend this book to all readers!

This book is hilarious. It's a series. If you like The Series of Unfortunate Events or The Secret Series you'll love this series. In this book Oliver and Celia Navel are the twins children of famous explores and love television. Their mother got lost trying to find the lost library of Alexandra. Their dad is determined to find his wife and the lost library of Alexandra. He makes a bet and takes his children deep into the Himalayas, where they search for lost library, finding out a few secrets along the way and pulling the children away from their precious television.

Rob Buyea: Because of Mr. Terupt

This is a great book that is told from the perspectives of seven different kids in Mr. Terupt's fifth grade class. They are very different kids, a slacker, a beauty queen, a shy girl and a class clown just to name a few. Mr. Terupt is an amazing new teacher meets all of the needs in the class and the students are loving their fifth grade year, until something happens that they will remember forever. Will Mr. Terupt return? Will their fifth grade year ever be the same? This book was amazing and it was one of those books that even when you are finished reading it, you are still thinking about it.

This book is about a kid who is given an envelope containing a quadrillion dollar bill. He spends the rest of the story trying to figure out if the dollar is real or not. This is a funny book that includes a giant dog named Zoopy, the FBI and looted food.

lying in bed one night, 12- year-old henry can't ignore the scraching and thumping comeing from the other side of the attic wall. he slowly and carefully scrapes off the plaster. he can't beleive what he sees! 99 cupboardds covered the wall behind the plaster.each one different. sme had knobs,some have combanation locks. others have nothing at all. henry soon finds that the cupboards are magic! they are really portals to magical portals to "make beleive" worlds. through one, he hears the sound of falling rain. through another he sees a glowing room-with a man strolling back and forth! but then, henry and his cousin get stuck in one of the cupboards. this is an exiteing read. HIGHLY recomended.

this book is one of the best books i have every read.the book is about three Buadalaire orphans there names are Violet, Sunny,Kluas. they all have a hard life with there parents dead and running away from a wicked man named Count Olaf. my favorite part in the book is when Sunny pretends to bite the snake.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a fun graphic novel. It's about a boy who hasn't figured out life yet (he doesn't like most things). The story is all in diary form. He is not happy with some things in his family. It's a funny laughable book. Kids 7-13 will love this book. If you want a great book read Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

Comfort is used to death, or in other words she understands death. Her cousin, Peach however, DOES NOT. Comfort's best friend, Declaration is changing, she starts by doing what her grandmother Lucy tells her to do. Next she starts making fun of Comfort with two girls from school that think it's unnatural to have dead people laying her house. Comfort and Declaration's favorite spot is on a high rock where you can almost see all of their little town. Grandmother Lucy thinks that's not what a lady does and tells Declaration to stop and instead do lady like things. If you like good books read Each Little Bird That Sings.

Comfort's great uncle Edisto and great-great aunt Floretine die and you could say uncle Edisto's funeral was bad with Peach knocking over the punch bowl and puking in the flowers and laying there for everyone to see.But aunt Floretines's was a disaster, sorry a natural disaster. Please read this AMAZING book!

Lois Lowry: Number the stars

I loved this book I couldn't stop reading it! It also is a very sad book because Lise and Peter both die from nazis people. I love how brave Ellen and Annemarie are. I can't believe that Mrs. Rosen is afraid of the sea they are very lucky to get to Sweden safly. They are also very lucky to have Peter Neilson.

I really like the whole book, but my favorite part is the D.A.D.A Defence against the dark arts. I feel bad for Harry when Ron is mad at Harry because he thinks he cheated to go in to the Triwizard tournment.

Suzanne Collins: The Hunger Games

This book was set in the future where there is a Capitol and 12 districts. The Capitol is extremely harsh. There used to be 13 districts, but when district 13 stands up to the Capitol and tries to over through the Capitol the Capitol demolishes them with toxic bombs. So every year there is a Hunger Games to teach the districts a lesson about not standing up to the Capitol. The Hunger Games is a tournament where each district has to send a boy tribute and a girl tribute to fight to the death in a arena. The last one one standing wins. How the choose is every year they have a reaping where all the girls put there name into a ball and all the boys put there name into a ball. When Katniss's sister is picked she volunteers instead and she is sent of into the Hunger Games.

Every year is the annual Hunger Games-a fight for the death in a big arena, against other people from different Districts. i loved this book!!!! it is very funny, this book was soooo one of her BEST BOOKS!!! she wrote a whole series about this girl named winnie and her growing up, the series is called "the winnie years"and i highly recomend it for girls 10-12 or older!!! this book is a must read!!!!!

Mary Downing Hahn: Stepping on the Cracks

This was a book report i had to do for school. At first, from looking at the cover i found it uninteresting, after i read it i figured out judging a book by its cover was a big mistake. This is life-changing book. it's very descriptive. I highly recommend it to children's of all ages to read it. You'll love it ;)

Jeff Kinney: Diary of a wimpy kid: the ugly truth

I really think this is a funny and well writen book,just like the others Jeff has wrote.I really think its funny how in one of greg's classes he had to take an egg home and bring it safely back the next day... but greg is scared manney(his little brother)will find it and ruin it.But in the morning greg can't find his egg where he left it, so he ask's his mom if she saw manney take it...but actually that's what greg's mom is making him for breakfast! greg's probaly not gonna get an a.I really like how the author kept me intrested through out the book. And that's why I like that book =)

This is a great book because when you might be 11 or 12 and you are a girl, you might be going through the same changes just like Winnie is going through.

The author of this book, Robert Froman, successfully showed the reader how a true friend will stick by you and help you have confidence. He highlights how important friends are, no matter what kind. With this and an exciting adventure to tie it all together, this story is amazing. This book is very descriptive and easy to read. It’s cool because you also get to learn a little about the Idaho wilderness, and how mountain lions and skunks live. I learned a lot from it. Though it is fictional, not long after you start reading The Wild Orphan, it will seem real and come alive in your imagination. You won’t be able to put this book down! The only bad thing about it is that it ends to quickly, and you might feel like there should be more to the story. The author left it up to the reader to imagine what happens afterward. In closing, this is an exciting and thought provoking book that is definitely worth reading.

Trenton Lee Stewart: The Mysterious Benedict Society

Reynie Muldoon takes a test and ends up having to conquer Mr. Curtain’s evil plan. Along the way he meets three friends: Kate, Sticky and Constance. It is much more exciting to have kids working to defeat Mr. Curtain than to read about adults doing it, because the kids are your age, which makes you feel stronger, even though you didn't actually do it. They all end up working together, even though Constance is very stubborn and keeps getting them into problems. Mr. Benedict is hilarious, but unfortunately that makes him fall asleep. That can also cause unpredictable problems. This book is awesome for anybody who likes big adventures and a bunch of spaz-mo.

(As told to me by 4-year-old) I like this book. The name Reginald Von Hoobie-Doobie is funny and I laugh every time I hear it. Edwina makes cookies for everyone because she is nice. We made up funny names for each other after reading this book.

This is my favorite book from all of roland smiths book. My favorite part is when Chase tries to step over the 13 foot alligator and finds out its alive and roles of the bank and then climbs back up. Oh, did I mention he and the other 2 girls are in a hurricane? It truly it a thrilling adventure!

I like Oz. The characters are interesting. It has good places. I like it because the story is interesting, really interesting! I like when Toto finds out the the Wizard of Oz is just a man. He is just an old humbug.

L.M. Montgomery: Anne of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables is about an orphan girl, Anne Shirley, who arrives at Green Gables farm after a misunderstanding. Marilla Cuthbert and her brother, Matthew, wanted a boy to help around the farm, but in this historical fiction book there are no telephones yet, and so they sent word with someone else. Anne, a skinny, red haired, freckled girl, begs to stay. She has had no proper bringing up, no proper home, and she already loves Green Gables and the beautiful nature surrounding it. Strict Marilla decides to keep Anne! L.M. Montgomery tells of Anne's many scrapes, including dying her hair green and breaking her ankle off a dare. Anne also imagines, though. She has a huge imagination and loves to use it. Her best friend, Diana, and herself name beautiful places and pretend different creatures lived in them. Anne works hard in school, and earns a place in Green Gables where everyone loves her. This book doesn't really have any suspense, mystery, danger or adventure, but I would still recommend it. I would rate this book a five out of five! It is a fabulously written story, and all the characters could really be real. You can also connect with the things Anne says. This is the first book in the Anne of Green Gables series, which consists of eight (8) books. I have read all of them, and would recommend all of them!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a really good book. My Mom read it to me a few months ago. It is really exciting and if you like action this is a good book for you. There is a lot of action in the end. Harry gets warned by a house-elf named Dobby,that he should not go back to school because then bad things will happen but Harry go's back to school anyway. But Dobby was right. Bad things did happen.

I really loved this book! It had a very good plot and it was never boring. the main character's name is Gregor. When he falls through a laundry grate, with his little sister Boots, he finds the Underland. A place where people ride on giant bats and have violet eyes. Everything about this book was amazing. I seriously suggest you read it!

This book is really interesting. It makes me want to know what happen next then next then next. I could not put it down till I finished the whole book. Measle was very smart but he was controlled by a wrathmonk - Basil and in the end ... Find it out yourself. You will love the book.

McDoogle finds himself stuck at a camp he didn't even want to go to. Starting from day one, he already finds himself in big trouble with the camp bully, "Gary the Gorilla". He accidentally puts peanut butter and jelly on Gary Gorilla's hanh while shaking his hand. In this funny and hilarious story you will find a young boy who is trying to figure out how to deal with some camp bullies. Will he figure out how to get a long with them or become one himself? Read Bill Meyers book to find out what McDoogle decides to do.

James: I thought this book was funny. My favorite part was when "Gary the Gorilla" and his "Goons" got their cabin flooded with water by the "Jocks".

Orel: I really liked the book a lot! There were many parts that were hilarious, but I'd have to say my most favorite part was when "Jimmy Jack" jumped out of the bushes and scared McDoogle and his crew (the crew thought it was the legend monster from their camp).

Damon: My favorite part was when the campers got together to plan a scheme to get back at the camp bullies. You will almost cry in tears from laughter when you get to the part in the story where the bullies eat the pumpkin pies with shaving cream that the "Babes" served at dinner.

I liked this book because Spencer had too many toys. His dad steps on them and his mom trips over them. His mom is yelling at him because he has too many toys and his mom tells him to put some of them in a box. They went through all of the toys and put some of them in the box. He dumped them out and made the box into a spaceship.

Christopher Paolini: Eragon

Eragon was digging through Durza's thoughts and then durza attacked. All of the sudden Arya rode down on Saphira (Eragons dragon) and broke the Isidar mithrim (Star Rose)and distracted Durza. Eragon taking advantage of the moment stabbed Durza in the heart the only way to kill a shade. That is my favorite part in the book. I liked the book because it has lots of action and is a thrilling novel. Christopher Paolini really made me feel like I am Eragon,Saphira or sometimes Murtagh or Arya. When Eragon killed Durza it was like yes they one I think that was really great.

Gary Larson: The Complete Far Side: Volumes 1 & 2

I know this isn't a real book, but The Far Side is my favorite comic ever. So hilarious! It has a lot of complaint letters in it that he got too, which are funny to read. Some people may think that The Far Side is inappropriate for children for reasons unknown, but seriously. Anyway, if you feel like some light reading and a bit of humor, you should get this book. Cheers!

Ellie Harriso's parents are on sabatical and she moves to new town for a while. She goes to the school Avalon High, where things aren't as the schould be. Great book, many facts about King Arthur's time (the midevils).

Since Jeff Kinney created diary of a wimpy kid more authors are putting more cartoons into novels. Allthough this book has more pictures than comics. The last invisible boy is about the life of a child named Findlay Albert Garretand's life with his brother Derek his mom and his friend meliand his cat henry(the cat is a girl).The story mainly foucuses on his Dad who is Dead. There is a chapter in the book that tells his perspective on how his father died but there never is a clear telling of how his father died. The book is full of short chapters with very nice cartoony pictures. The chapters were all random but followed a big story.On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this book a nine it was pretty good.

This book was really cool. It's about a pig that gets raised by a human and then he gets too big so he has to move to the farm across the street. Then he meets a spider that writes good things on her web about the pig. I really hope you read this book because I did. My favorite part was when a girl in the story saved the pig from getting chopped with an ax. I bet you're wondering, "Who is this girl?" and "Why did someone want to chop the pig?" Well you'll have to find out when you read it.

And you'll never believe in a million years what happened; they sent him a huge boxes full of jawbreakers. So he kept complaining and got a lot of stuff back! But the sad part is that his parents made him stop and give some away. Bummer in the summer!):

Judy Moody, an ordinary 3th, who grader went to college with her tutor/babysitter, Chloe. Then bragged about it so much that the whole class-except Judy- failed the BIG test on purpose to get a tutor to bring them to college! But they finally gets the teacher to take them to college. They practically had to beg their teacher to take them to college! But they lived happily ever after (for now). I did like that book.

I think it was a terrific book, but the thing I don't like is how mean and jealous Suzana is of Becky. Suzana thinks that Becky is braggin. But, Suzana loves to be the center of attention. I don't even see why she and Katie are friends! Speaking of Katie, my perception is that Katie was enjoying the horse, but she turns into it . . . She just will horse around!

I loved this book because of the drama with huge semi trucks and little New York city pushcarts. Something that made the book so great to me, was that it was so well written with detail. My favorite in the story was when the Pushcart carriers start shooting pea- tacks at the semi truck's big fat wheels. This is a great book for kids from fourth to seventh grade, who love action-packed stories.

This is one of my favorite books. It keeps making you want to read with its intense plot. The book is about a boy who people believed was born with the ability to talk to spirits, how they think he was born with bad luck, and his adventures in an orphanage and other places. SPOILER! I love the part when, after years of looking, Billy finds his father, but realizes he is a twisted man and goes back to the circus. The book has everything. It's happy and it's sad. It's hopeful and yet discouraging. The odds are a million to one, and yet he makes it through everything. Read it and you won't regret it.

At the beginning of Harry's fourth year, you can already tell that this book with be different than the first three. Just a few chapters in, there is an attack at the Quidditch World Cup. The attack is made by Voldemort's followers, a group called Death Eaters. During Harry's fourth year, two other schools come for The Tri-Wizard Tournament. Only three wizards are supposed to be chosen, but mysteriously Harry's name is the FOURTH to be drawn from the Goblet of Fire. He must participate in three extremly dangerous tasks. But at the end of the book, when Harry is about to complete the thrid task, a terrible thing happens. Boy do I wish I could tell you. If you don't mind a spoiler, then look below. If you do mind, don't read the rest of my review.
Lord Voldemort returns, and Cedric Diggory dies.Great book! The whole series is great, and I strongly suggest you read them. 5 stars!!!

I like the book because Harry and Song Lee have a battle because Harry thinks Song Lee's dragon is stupid. He thinks its stupid because Song Lee says her dragon is nice because she likes the dragon in the book My Father's Dragon. Harry thinks dragons should only be scary.

I really liked this book because it showed what friends really are. It also showed that it is ok to get mad at a friend but you will become friends again latter (sometimes after a huge fight). My favirit part in this book was how the two girls made up after huge fight.

Alyssa Satin Capucilli: Biscuit

I really like this book because there's a doggy in it and because I can read it; since it's an easy reader book. My favorite part was when Biscuit fell asleep in the little girl's bed. But I also really liked the part where Biscuit got a hug. The illustrator of biscuit is Pat Schories. I think that the pictures in this book are really good, because they show cute drawings of Biscuit on every page.

J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This was the best Harry Potter book ever, and that is saying something. Harry, Hermione and Ron have dropped out of Hogwarts to look for horcruxes, and run into a lot of Death Eaters and Voldemort himself. The Deathly Hallows is also full of deaths, so I'm warning you now, don't read it if you've read the other ones and you hated the people dying, because there a lot of people dying in this one. Ages 9+ Don't read if you haven't read: Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of The Phoenix, and Half Blood Prince. 5 Stars!!!

People who are interested in things that are eerie will love this book! There is a lesson in this book that will tell you about the importance of family. One of my favorite parts of the book was when the Baudelaires met the carnival freaks because they weren't freakish at all. The author was trying to tell us that if you're like the "freaks," you really aren't freakish to other people. The bigger message is that being a "freak" isn't bad.
