- Books by Mail — free delivery of library materials by mail to qualified customers
- Free home delivery — outreach staff help qualified customers select library materials and deliver them on a regular schedule every other month
- Library Outreach Volunteer program — volunteers deliver paperbacks and magazines to homebound customers according to the customers' interests and requests
- Large-print books
- Bi-Folkal (multimedia) kits that encourage the sharing of memories
- Library service in retirement-home lobbies — each month, outreach staff take carts of library materials into Multnomah County retirement homes
- Large-print book clubs at retirement homes
- Deposit collections at care centers, assisted living centers and adult foster homes
- Visiting Voices — volunteers read aloud at nursing homes
