Services for people in shelters and transition homes
The Shelter Program is another facet of Multnomah County Library's outreach to under-served populations. Library Outreach Services provides monthly drop-off collections to more than 30 shelters and transition homes, distributing more than 1,000 books and 500 magazines a month to more than 2,200 people, from infants to seniors. We serve men's shelters such as the Clark Center, domestic violence shelters such as Bradley-Angle House, family shelters such as Goose Hollow, and young adult shelters such as New Avenues for Youth.
