Collection Development and Technical Services manager brings technology expertise to library

PORTLAND, OR – Multnomah County Library has appointed Patricia French as the new Collection Development and Technical Services manager, following the retirement of Carolyn Myers.

French's career includes service in various capacities at the University of California, Davis, most recently as the head of the Serials Department. She previously worked at the California State Library. In addition, French is widely published and is a frequent presenter at professional conferences.

"Pat's strong experience and expertise in all areas of technology will bring increased capacity to Multnomah County Library for current as well as future technology applications," said Director of Libraries Molly Raphael.

French holds a master's degree in library science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree in art history from the University of California, Davis.
