Woodstock Library to host Lunar New Year celebration

PORTLAND, OR Multnomah County Library's Woodstock Library will host a Lunar New Year celebration on Wed., Feb. 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Featured presentations and activities include:
- 5:40 p.m. Lion dance presented by the Vovinam Salem Lion Team
- 67:30 p.m. Crafts and wheel of fortune game and prizes in the meeting room
- 6 p.m. Chinese dance presented by students from Woodstock and Hosford schools
- 6:30 p.m. Vietnamese dance presented by the Van Lang School Dancers
- 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the main part of the library
The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is celebrated in China, Vietnam and other Asian cultures on the first day of the first moon of the lunar calendar, and is traditionally a time to honor family ties and friendships.
