PORTLAND, OR – With just a few clicks of the mouse, Multnomah County Library cardholders can check out movies and television shows online, download them onto a personal computer, and watch them without ever leaving the comforts of home.

Thanks to a free new service called MyLibraryDV that's now available from the library's website, customers can enjoy more than 500 independent and Academy Award-winning movies, as well as a diverse array of popular TV shows, including America's Test Kitchen, Antiques Road Show and Rick Steves' Europe.

MyLibraryDV is the latest addition to the growing list of online resources that the library provides. “Our customers want to be able to use the library 24/7, so our website is really a virtual library,” said Director of Libraries Molly Raphael.

The ever-expanding video catalog is easy to access with your library card. Just install the download manager on your PC. Then, browse the thousands of available titles. You can check out up to 10 programs at any given time; at the end of a seven-day lending period, they will automatically expire.
