Meet Three Cups of Tea writer David Oliver Relin

PORTLAND, OR Portland writer David Oliver Relin will visit several Pageturners book groups at libraries this fall to discuss Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . One School at a Time. The book, which Relin coauthored with Central Asia Institute Executive Director Greg Mortenson, tells the story of Mortenson's quest to build schools in some of the wildest parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Three Cups of Tea received the Kiriyama Prize and was named the 2007 Pacific Northwest Booksellers' Book of the Year, Time magazine Asia Book of the Year and a BookSense Notable Title.
Relin will participate in some Pageturners groups this fall, then others later in the year. Upcoming appearances are as follows:
- Tuesday, October 16, 6:30-8 p.m. at Hollywood Library
- Wednesday, October 17, 6:30-7:45 p.m. at Woodstock Library
- Tuesday, November 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Sellwood-Moreland Library
- Tuesday, November 27, 6:30-7:45 p.m. at Fairview-Columbia Library
