Spring is here! It's time to kick off your galoshes, pick some tulips, and join library lovers across the country in celebrating National Library Week.

For this year's festivities, Multnomah County Library invites community members to join the circle of knowledge in a special way — an online scavenger hunt, complete with great prizes and tricky questions to test your wits about library resources.

Here's how it works. During National Library Week, which begins Sunday, April 13, visit the library's home page, where you'll find a link to details about how to participate.

Find the answers to at least 10 out of 15 questions (all can be found on the library's website) and then submit your entry online by midnight, Saturday, April 19.

Among the correct entries, five adult winners and five youth winners (through age 18) will be chosen randomly. Each of these 10 winners will receive a $50 gift certificate from The Title Wave Used Bookstore. One grand prize winner will also receive a $75 gift certificate from the Friends' Library Store at Central Library.

First celebrated in 1958, National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association and highlights the contributions of libraries and library workers throughout the country.
