Gregory Heights Library closed Sept. 19-23 for equipment and carpet installation, reopening at noon Sept. 24

PORTLAND, OR Gregory Heights Library will be closed Sept. 19-23, reopening at noon on Sept. 24, to accommodate the installation of radio frequency identification gates and new checkout stations, as well as new carpeting.
The new RFID equipment will increase staff efficiency, enhance the security of library materials and, most importantly, make it easier for patrons to use the library.
Gregory Heights' book drop will be closed Sept. 19-22, reopening Sept. 23. No Gregory Heights items will be due Sept. 19-24, but items may be returned at any other Multnomah County Library for patrons wishing to do so. The nearest libraries are Hollywood Library (4040 N.E. Tillamook St.) and Midland Library (805 S.E. 122nd Ave.).
No items on Gregory Heights' hold shelf will expire Sept. 19-24.
