The "Yellow Peril" and the Pacific Coast Race Riots of 1907
Erika Lee, professor of history at the University of Minnesota and a specialist on the history of Asian migration and exclusion in the United States, Canada and especially the Pacific Northwest, will discuss the 1907 Chinatown riots in San Francisco, Bellingham and Vancouver and their historical fallout.
