Reading Out Loud: A Public Readathon
Parallel University presents a public reading of Stubborn Twig facilitated by Sandy Sampson, MFA candidate in Art and Social Practice at Portland State University. Sandy and friends will read Stubborn Twig out loud and from cover to cover. Take a turn reading out loud, or just come and listen.

Japanese Tea Demonstration
Located in Portland, Wakai Tea Association is a local chapter of the Urasenke Tradition of Tea, Kyoto, Japan. Watch the graceful tradition of the Urasenke Tea ritual. The ceremony is simply the preparation, serving and drinking of powdered green tea, yet within this simplicity lies the very heart of Japanese culture.
