AANHPI Heritage Month: Craft Sundays
Join us at Capitol Hill Library for a fun and enjoyable afternoon of crafting for all ages. We will celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander culture and achievements through art. Supplies will be provided for a different art project hosted on the first three Sundays in May (May 5, 12 & 19) from 12:30-4:30 pm.
Family Storytime
Children from birth to age 6 (with a favorite adult) enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building language and literacy skills.
Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Buñuelos de Viento Cooking Class for Teens
Join this hands-on cooking class for teens (grades 6-12). In Mexico there are two different kinds of Buñuelos the classic fried pieces of dough and the beautiful flower form fried cookies, so crunchy and light that they crumble in your mouth like air. Learn to make this delicious fried cookie.

Music and Dance
Enjoy songs, rhymes, rhythm and dance in this active program for children ages 0 to 6 and their parents or caregivers. Older siblings welcome!
Attendance is limited to first come, first served. Please note: for health and safety reasons, maximum room capacity is 30 people. Please stay home if anyone in your family is sick.

Lego Club
Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.
Lego Club / Club De Legos
Bring your awesome Lego skills to Troutdale Library and let your imagination flow. Each time, we’ll build a new structure to put on display. Bricks and supplies provided. For kids ages 5-11.

Tiny Tots Playtime (ages 1-2 years)
Play and learning go hand in hand. While our storytimes are on break, join other families for a fun playtime (for ages 1-2) with books, toys, music, and all the room you need to learn through play. As Mr. Rogers said, "... for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
Birth to 3 Storytime Online
Join us online for a storytime filled with fun, interactive songs, rhymes, bounces and stories especially for babies & toddlers ages 0-2 and their favorite adults. Learn early literacy and child development tips to help build your child's emerging language skills.
Tiny Tots
One-year-olds (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, movement activities, rhymes, books and playtime. This action-packed program engages new walkers in language-based activities.

Symphony Storytime with flutist Alicia Paulsen
The Oregon Symphony is on the road for interactive, musical storytimes. Each week features a visit from an Oregon Symphony musician who will play and provide an introduction to their instrument and orchestral music.
Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.
Preschool Sensory Storytime Online
This preschool storytime is especially welcoming for children and families who are looking for a more adaptive virtual storytime experience.
This program is intended for children and their caregivers. Participants may be asked to identify themselves either through camera, chat, or by unmuting. If you would like to attend as an observer, please contact us at 503.988.5123.
K-12 Virtual Tutoring / Tutoría Virtual
Virtual Tutoring is for students in grades K-12 who need support in language arts, math, science or social studies.
We offer three terms a year, each running for 8 weeks.
The student’s weekly appointment will be for 30 minutes on Tuesdays, sometime between 4 and 6 pm. They will be assigned an exact timeslot and tutor prior to the start of the term. These remain the same for the entire term.
Graphic Novel Club grades 4-5
Kids in grades 4-5 are invited to talk about the monthly graphic novel and eat snacks! Every meeting includes a short activity related to that month's book. A limited number of books are available for pick up at the library in advance.
Pajama Storytime
Put on your pajamas, grab a bedtime buddy, and join us for stories, songs and fun. For children 6 years and younger with adult. Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
