SUN School services for Winter 2008

The School Corps offers these fun, literacy-related programs to SUN Schools. We can also present the programs we offer during the school year. Programs can be offered on a one-time or a regular or series basis.

The minimum length of the presentations is noted in the descriptions but may be adjustable to meet your needs. Some presentations require special equipment (that School Corps brings).

Please note:

Patricia Gallagher series (6 sessions)

The Patricia Gallagher award is a children's choice award for picture books. At each session, we'll read one of the nominees and engage students in discussion and activities involving literacy skills and art. At the last session students will vote for their favorite title, and votes will be submitted to the Oregon Reading Association.45 minutes-1 hour for grades K-2.

Multicultural series (1-10 sessions)

At each session, we'll read a different multicultural picture book aloud, involving kids in literacy skills, discussion and questions. Then kids will participate in one or two activities related to the story.45 minutes-1 hour for grades K-2.
