Congratulations summer readers!
Summer Reading 2025 is officially over! It was a great year for reading. Thanks to our partnerships in seven Multnomah County school districts, over 57,650 kids had their Summer Reading gameboards in their hands before school ended.
Thanks to the work of community partners, schools, educators, library staff and library outreach teams we were able to reach over 102,800 youth with summer reading.
Youth collectively reported reading or engaging in a summer learning activity for an impressive 482,235 days during the summer months.
Volunteers
The Summer Reading program also offers volunteer opportunities for youth in grade 6 and up. Over 610 volunteers encouraged readers, answered questions and gave away Summer Reading prizes. Thank you, Summer Reading volunteers!
Check back in April 2026 for information on Summer Reading and volunteering in
