- Vampire Academy Series
-
Reviewed by: Hannah Age: 15What was this series about?
Vampires and their guardians. There are the Moroi (good, living vampires), and there are the Strigoi (evil, mortal, killing vampires). The guardians protect the Moroi from the Strigoi. The books are about friendship, love, and loyalties.
What was the best thing about this book?
This series taught me more than just about Richelle's vampire world, it reminded me about the importance of love and friendship.
Did you like this book? Why or why not?
Yes. I loved these books. I thought "Oh they're just more vampire books. Can't measure up to Twilight," but I was wrong. They have aspects that I believe to be better than Twilight.
- This World We Live In
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8This World We Live In is a companion book to the two other books in the series, Life As We Knew It, and The Dead & the Gone. Pfeffer's books are heart-wrenching and breathtaking, scary and sad, and interestingly truthful. People are so used to reading books with happy endings that it's shocking to have characters die. Still, there's that glimmer of hope that kept me reading and enjoying these books.
- The Daughters
-
Reviewed by: Lilaynia Grade: 8This book was chick-lit, but that's why I enjoyed it. I love it when everything in books works out perfectly in the end--the relationships and friendships... although there was a certain twist at the end that made me like the book a little less... good thing there's a sequel!
- The Year of Secret Assignments
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8This book is sort of weird. At first it just seems like it goes on and on, and then a tiny bit of a plot emerges. It's confusing, and I didn't like it very much.
- Payback
-
Reviewed by: Fatuma Grade: 8I love this book.I like it because @ the end everyone gets along.I also like it because it makes you wonder what will happen next.
- Wish
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8This book is... different. It's not your average chick-lit teen novel, but rather a mysterious, suspenseful, somewhat poignant novel with twists and turns that kept me wanting to keep reading and reading! Alexandra Bullen is good at creating characters. Violet can be quite annoying, Bridget uptight, Calla and Lark and Eve condescending, Soren mysterious, and Olivia lost. Wish is really unique and I enjoyed it a lot. If you're a 11 through teen girl, you probably will too.
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
-
Reviewed by: Aubrey Grade: 7I liked this book because it was adventures and it was a tipe of book i would read.
- The Year I Turned Sixteen
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8I loved this book! Although there were some sad parts, I really liked how everything ended up. This is a really sweet book with lots of morals, and the characters were well created, as well as the plot.
- Coffeehouse Angel
-
Reviewed by: Lilaynia Grade: 8this book was really sweet! i especially loved Malcolm. although he was a little weird at times (such as how he wears kilts), he's such a sweet, generous gotta-love-'em character. in fact, all the characters were well created. the mystery of Irmgaard was another thing that really kept me interested in this book. a vow of silence? come on! but she was so ashamed with herself that she couldn't stand it. why? you'll have to read it! girls ages 11 through teens will enjoy this book, so check it out today!!! :)
- The Last Olympian

- The Bible
-
Reviewed by: autumn Grade: 7The Bible is the best book I have ever read, and although I am too young to understand all of it, I hope that one day, I will!
- Privilege
-
Reviewed by: Autumn Grade: 7I read this book before I read her other series, and I found out that Ariana killed Thomas Pearson, before i read the other book! So, the series, Private, was not half as good as it would have been if I had read the others first! But, apart from the swearing, the book was very enjoyable:)
- Unbelievable
-
Reviewed by: Autumn Grade: 7I didn't like that "A" was actually Mona! Mona was one of my favorite characters, and I didn't think that Spencer could do something like that! I also can't beleive that Hanna was hit by a CAR!
- Private
-
Reviewed by: Autumn Grade: 7This book [series] is outstanding! Although there is quite a bit of swearing, and mature actions, this [series] is sure to be one remembered!
- Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets
-
Reviewed by: Autumn Grade: 7The second Harry potter book was aamazing, just like all of the rest, but there was something special about this one!!! I hope that you enjoy it!
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
-
Reviewed by: Autumn Grade: 7The Sorcerer's Stone is not the best of the Harry Potter books, but I loved how everything was very unexpected, and there were surprises around every corner!
- Perfect
-
Reviewed by: Autumn Grade: 7Perfect was my favorite PLL book! It's awesome, and I can't wait for mooooore!!!
- Indigo Blue
-
Reviewed by: Lila Grade: 8Despite the abuse done by the mom's boyfriend in this book, it's a sweet book. The characters are realistic and it shows how important friendship is, and how you can have a friend one minute, and then that can change in the blink of an eye. My fave character is Ian! I also like Jane and Aisha. Girls ages 10 through 13 or 14 would enjoy this book, just like I did.

- Revolution is Not a Dinner Party
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8I liked this book; it showed the hardships of the Cultural Revolution and how harsh Chairman Mao was. Another book like this that I read was called Red Scarf Girl, by Ji-Li Jiang. That was a good book if you read Revolution is Not a Dinner Party and are looking for further reading.

- Confetti Girl
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8Apolina "Lina" Flores shows girls ages 10 through 14 how difficult middle school can be, and how important it is to have friends. Like the cascarones in the book, Confetti Girl is bursting with different colors. An easy read, but I enjoyed it. :)
- Dizzy
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8Dizzy is a sweet book, and I really liked it. I think that a good book makes you hate/love the characters, and that's exactly what Duzzy did for me. Girls aged 10 through 14 would enjoy it.
- Runaway
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8Runaway is the third book in the Airhead Series, by Meg Cabot, and definitely the best. While the other two books are filled with lots of adventure, they don't do a good job of tying up loose ends, whereas Runaway does. It's filled with unexpected turns, emotion, suspense, some funny moments, and... romance. Girls aged 13 through older teens would probably enjoy it.
- Avalon High
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8I've read a lot of Meg Cabot's books, but this is definitely one of the best. It has all the cliche characters- the popular cheerleader dating the nice quarterback, the jock, etc- but surprising twists and breathtaking moments add to the greatness of the book. Something that I particularly enjoyed was the fact that Avalon High was based off a story from medieval times. It was fun to guess how the story would be the same or different from the one from King Arthur's time. I think girls aged 12 through teens would enjoy this book.
- The Lonely Hearts Club
-
Reviewed by: Lillie Grade: 8I really liked this book. It shows how strong a girl can be. The plot was great, but the character development of the characters themselves could have been a little stronger. I think that a good book makes you hate/love the characters, and The Lonely Hearts Club could have done a little better job of that. However, the Beatles song references in the book being tied to the plot line was really creative, and made me enjoy the book even more. I would recommend this book to girls approximately age 12 through teens.

- Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
-
Reviewed by: InsertReviewer Grade: 7It was amazingly well written, with the exception of the heavy swearing, which, actually was a pretty realistic representation of how teens' minds work. I also liked the message of the book, and it was so outstanding in every category! I would strongly recommend this to anyone who can stand to read heavy swearing, your efforts will be rewarded!
