sometimes,
all I can do is sit
and watch the darkness
the tree's silhouettes against the fading sky
gaze at the world from a safe distance
words
come
so fast
thoughts
burn
then cool
questions
unanswered
the night sky holds only clouds, not stars tonight
how ironic
the night sky holds
only dark shapes
black and white
my world is simple again
only temporarily
I play music
but I suppose I'm not listening
just hearing
I love
to soak up the peace
if only for a moment...
