This is the second book in the Immortals series by my favorite author ever! Daine (who can speak to animals) is called by her wolfpack to help them with a problem where they are living. She has no idea that she iS getting involved with something that is far more sinister. It is so good and tamora pierce is my favorite author ever!!!!!!! I just wanted to share how amazing it is to all teens of the world.

Gossip Girl: I know it might seem like it's kinda soap-opera-ish, but it's actually really cool! I like the TV show, too. Chase Crawford is fiiinnee. And to the people saying bad stuff about Hannah Montana, jeez. If people like her, then they like her. That's just how they are. It's mean if you say that they're dumb or gay because they like her; gosh, stop being so negative.

I'll admit it I'm breaking the rules and reviewing a book before I finished it. But what I did read of this book I liked alot. It's about a little girl who grows up in a the South. It deals with her families struggles with what is ethical and the old small town philosiphy against black people. It is really interesting.

Harry Potter series: J.K. Rowling, the best author ever!!!

All the Harry Potter books are amazing!They are funny, adventurous, and beautifully written. I really don't like to hear the people who are dissin' it. If you don't like them, you can just say so and leave it like that. If you read Harry Potter I'm sure that 99.99% of you will like it!

I agree with Holycheese and disagree with Zee. These books are complete nonsense, and unless you are VERY immature and a slow reader they will NOT take you all the way through highschool. I usually love realistic fiction, but both the plot line and the writing in these are really bad. By the way, sexist much, Zee?

This book is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. It opened my eyes to a lot about what's going on around the world. Especially in Sierra Leone [Africa]. It's so gruesome and brutal. Yet it is written beautifully. And from my P.O.V- It'll leave you speechless.

BEST BAND EVER! btw, they took out the ! after panic... idk why.... but they are realllllllyyyyyyyyyyy goood they just came out with a new CD, Pretty.Odd. yeah thats what its called. if u like more of an upbeat sound get there first cd (u may recall hearing "I write sins not tragedies") but their new one is more kind of like the beatles. AWESOME!

The Last Silk Dress: Ann Rinaldi

For our Spring Break homework we had to read a historical fiction book about the Civil War. Our teachers gave us a list of books, but they were all really short and sounded boring for an advanced reader like me. I looked around our school library and found The Last Silk Dress. I had read some of Ann Rinaldi's other books already and liked them a lot, so I thought I'd try the book out. I asked my teacher and she said it was okay, so i read it. I'm glad I did; It was AMAZING. If you like historical fiction, or even if you don't, you should read this book. It's about a 14-year-old girl named Susan living through the Civil War in Virginia, a Confederate state, with her abusive mother. It's really interesting to hear about the Civil War from the perspective of a Southerner, who supported slavery and lost the war. Not only is it imformative about the war, but Susan's life is woven into a complex tale of family, opinion and love. All of Ann Rinaldi's books are written about real people, just not the famous ones. Out of all the books by her I've read, or maybe even all of the historical fiction I've read, this one is the best.

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment: James Patterson

Maximum ride is one of the most addicting books you will ever read. I finished it in 2 days. It's really hard to describe what happens. but it's a page turner. i promise. After ur done reading The Angel Experiment. Read the next book "school's out-forever" and then read the 3rd one in the series. The fourth one is coming out on March 17th 2008!

I love this series, it's about Cross Academy where there's two classes, the day class which is made out for humans, and the night class which is made out of vampires. A must read manga for all vampires lovers.

silverfin: This book is great. its about james bond as a kid, its got alot of action and suspense. it was a really good read every time i picked it up i never wanted to put it down. it was interesting to learn about spys, evil scientists and more. :)

The Cry of the Icemark: Stuart Hill

This is the best book ever written! If you like adventure-type books, you'll love this one. Its about a girl who is the princess of the warrior country of the Icemark, w/ the Land-of-the-ghosts to the north and the Polypontian Empire to the south. When the Polypontians attack the Icemark, Thirrin has to find allies or her country will perish. My favorite character is either Thirrin or Oskan ( who is a warlock) and the Vampire King and Queen are cool too. You HAVE to read it! Thirrin punches a werewolf on the nose!! P.S. The 2nd one is called Blade of Fire. It is good too!

This book is about a girl named Emily Windsnap. Her mom doesn't let her have swimming lessons until her mom finally gives in. It feels funny when she swims. Its really weird because she has never swam before and she seems like a natural. She lives on a houseboat on the water, so one day after her weird swimming lesson, she decides to jump in the water. She figures out that she is a mermaid! She meets another one named Shona. Then she learns a secret about her family that will change everything. You must read this book to find out about Emily's life.

This book is one of the BEST books I have read in a long time. It's historical fiction and time travel combined to make a great book. Even if the description dosn't sound interesting, READ IT ANYWAY! Margaret Peterson Haddix wrote other books as well. I have loved all of her books and strongly recomend them.

A Mango Shaped Space: Wendy Mass

Wendy Mass creates a beautiful story about a girl(Mia) growing up with Synesthesia. Mia learns to adapt to people teasing her, and also helps another child. She also helps to shows people (including her mother)that Synesthesia is a gift; not a problem. She learns that some friends are worth keeping; others not. This is an amazing story, I highly recomend this book.

They are about a girl that falls in love with a vampire(and a warewolf) she has to choose friendship or love? which one do you theink? well you need to read all of them. you wont want to stop reading them. There is romance and action. YOU NEED TO READ THESE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!! and the writer is very good. she gets you very exited about what is going to happen. At the end of the books she leavs a sentence and it gets you so impetiont, like she left a sentence in one book and I could not wait tell I got the next one. Tithe is a extremely interesting book about Kaye, a 16-year-old girl who has dropped out of high school. She lives in New York with her mom and grandma, who thinks her life is going in a horrible direction (which it kinda is). Soon she discovers that the faeries shes seen since kindergarten are real by meeting another who she is inevitably attracted to. But soon the lines between good and evil are invisable, and the sides seem to merge to create a plan that will change her life forever. This book is a twisting tale of romance and magic that I rate five stars!

Personally, I think these three books, Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, were the best books every written. I thought Twilight was the best, and New Moon my least favorite (because Edward left, duh) but anyone who enjoys vampires and romance, pick up a copy. Bella, the new girl in forks, and Edward, the handsome vampire are the two best characters ever. You will fall in love with these books. Oh yeah... Edward Cullens MINE!

"Cool Stuff They Should Teach in School": Kent and Kyle Healy

This book was incredible! I had it recomended to me by a friend that loves to read 'advice books'. I hate them, but she told me that it was not like all the others. So, I tried it. And she was right! It is a book that I should have read years ago. It is full of everyday advice for teens that makes sense. Things like managing money, doing better in school, even how to run your own business. I was really impressed with how much i learned from the book. I think everyone should read it, we all need to learn how to be better in one area or another

i luv this book!! it was so cool how the author took a story thats been around forever, and wrote a story about the real side of it. Alice in wonderland is the WRONG side of everything. Alice is actually spelled Alyss, and she is the princess of hearts, heir to the throne of wonderland. But when her aunt redd kills her mom and dad, she escapes wonderland, and winds up in oxford england, where she met lewis caroll the author of alice in wonderland. 13 years later, she returns and battles redd for the throne with powers she never thought she had.

These books are page turning sci-fi full of furturistic technololgy, romance, back-stabbing friendship and the thin line between right and wrong. In them Tally's(the main charecter) opinion is constantly changed, and usaully forcefully! The suspense is unbelievable, and the end of Specials is a good conclusion to Tally's story. Can't wait to begin Aya's story with Extras!

It is such a great book. It is about these two younge people, one a kitchenboy, the other a daughter of two wealthy doctors. Bea, the daughter, has dreams, which your not suppose to. The kitchenboy gets told about the ruined city by a mental patient who knew his mother. His mother killed himself, or so they say, and she was a loony. Its a great book, just read it.

Okay, I admit, I waited in line for six hours. I know, I'm a dork. But whatev. Anyway, I suppose it was worth waiting for, just because I have waited for it for 8 years, but after reading it I was slightly disappointed. She left some questions unanswered (unless you've heard her "after-the-book" interviews), and gave some cheap explinations to others. However, the end battle scene made up for it; it was very LOTR style and exciting, and I absolutely thought it made up for everything! (although HOW harry just happened to be in the right place at the right time when there was the whole Snape scene, nobody knows. But oh well.) Anyway, I of course would recommend it to anyone who has waited years for the end, and to those who might be interested in knowing what happens. Btw, book 6 pwns.

I had to read this for school, but I still really enjoyed it (It's probably the only book I enjoyed this much that was still required reading, which shows you how good it is). It might be for a bit older readers, but it has a dark, kind of sarcastic humor that kept me laughing almost the whole time I read it. I liked it a lot.

That was a part I was really looking forward to since it was building up through all of the other 6 books, but I'd say my friends called almost all the points for the main events in this book.

The book might be a little difficult to read, but it's well worth it. It had a wonderful cast, a good storyline, and full of suspence.You can also learn a thing or two about the 1700's by reading this. Esther Forbs mixes fiction and non-fiction in this story. I really liked it myself, and I totaly suggest anyone to read this. THough, some of the words are hard to read, and also hard to understand. The language in this book is like the kind people used back in 1700, so...Yeah. I liked it, hope you do too.

I liked this book a lot. It was sometimes hard to understand, but later in the story, I'd be like "Ah! So THAT'S why that happened!" and suddenly get it. It has ton of suspence and it WILL confuse you at times. I liked the charactors and the story, but I wasn't all that satified with the ending. It was worth reading though. I also love the author Lois Lowry. :) I suggest you read The Giver.

At 374 pages, it's a bit of a long read, but perfectly manageable. I couldn't put it down when I read it, so it only took me about a week. Look for it at your local library!

The Last and 3rd book in The 'His Dark materials' series, It was my favorite of all three, But to keep on track you should start with the golden compass, then The subtle knife, then move to this book. This book is well written, full of suspense, fantasy and mystery. all 3 of the books are a 400-500 pages long, (This one being 518) and they are challenging, so its a good series for strong readers. You should head to your local library and pick up a copy! Also, The first book, the golden compass, is going to be made into a movie soon!

Okay, this is the last book (currently?) of the series but also the best!!!! The Thief is the first. I'm glad I got through this because I admit, at times it was a bit trying on my patience. But it is so worth it so you can read this book and the 2nd, The Queen of Attolia. The series is about Eugenides, the thief and his ...odd relationship hounding the Queen of Attolia. I don't want to give too much away, but in all of the books of this fantasy series there are several startling plot twists. Some you see coming, but most of them are startling and great additions to the book! Good for girls and guys. I absolutely loved this book!!! I'd also recommend anything (!!!) by Tamora Pierce, Artemis Fowl (5 book series) by Eoin Colfer, the Keisha'ra Series by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, and His Dark Materials Series by Philip Pullman.

This is the first book in the "Mates Dates..." series. After growing sick of Babysitter's Club years ago, I wanted another slightly immature girl series and after seeing all the bright colorful covers of this series I decided to give it a try. And I was satisfied. =] This volume is about a 14 year old girl named Lucy who lives in London with her "Hippie esqe" parents and two older brothers. She deals with insecurities throughout the story like being short and flatchested, becoming a third wheel to Nesta, who might become Izzie's (Lucy's Best freind) new BFF. But everything changes when she sees a Gorgeous(or so described) boy walking down the street and she is determined to meet him. Everything takes a life of it's own from then. The only bad point I found to this book was that it takes place in London so there is some slang that seems a little odd, But you get used to it. For example, in the book, they call kissing "snogging" XD Even as being a year older than the characters I still found ways to relate and it kept me interested. But it is for more "girly girls" I guess.

It is the second book in the "make lemonade" series. Try not to read this book.

"Basketcase" is a murder mystery centerd around the crazy world of rock stars. If you have ever read a Hiassen book, you know it will be fast-paced and irresistable to put down. This is the most exciting book I've ever read! It keeps getting better! If you like futuristic books, then you should definetly read this! It's about kids who are born ugly, but have surgery at age sixteen and become pretty. This book follows the story of Tally and her friend Shay. But Shay doesn't want to become pretty. So Shay runs away. Soon the Special Circumstances (kind of like our CIA) show up and ask Tally to either find Shay, or never become pretty.

The two lead characters have so much chemistry, it's not a surprise that Craven and writer Carl Ellsworth made "Evil Assassin Man" care for "Woman in Distress." Do you like vampires, parasites or cats, then this book's for you. Set in modern times Peeps follows Cal an average guy who was infected by a parasite which makes him stronger, faster, and able to see in the dark, in other words he is a vampire, how ever Cal is just a carrier of the parasite, so he can infect others, by kissing or other ways of sharing bodily fluids, and other people get his symptoms and go crazy and try to eat people and are followed arround by rats. Cal has to find all the girls that he infected, then he discovers a disturbing secrite about the parasite. WARNING: don;t read this while eating, in every even numbered chapter a different parasite is talked about, unless of course you enjoy reading about the effects of bottfly maggots on howler monkeys.

When I first picked up this book I assumed with it's great reveiws it would be a Juicy novel about teenage girls (much like The Clique etc.). It was about teenage girls, but I found that it does not belong in the teen fiction section. Though there may be some mature content, the overall writing isn't all that good. Girlish book lovers should try something better, like The A-list.

This is a good book, it is about a skater and his brother, and their life on the run from the police and CPS. Their mom is a crack addict, and after Ian, the big brother, after his teacher comes and sees a pipe on the table, tells CPS, and now they have to run because of him hitting his coach, Coach Florence, for trying to humilate him on a daily basis. This is a great read and I highly recommend it to teens, there is profanity in it though, so yeah.

This book is fantastic! The story is about a girl named Jade who has a hard time at home because she has an anxiety disorder and her dad keeps to himself a lot and he basically forces her brother to play all those sports. Anyway...So Jade watches the elephants from a live webcam that is in the zoo. Watching the elephants calms her down a lot. One time she sees this boy in the red jacket who didn't look much older than herself. The boy had a young baby with him. She thought that he was too young to have a baby of his own and wanted to know if it was really his. She assumed that it was just because of the relationship between them. For awhile after that, she tries to find the boy in the red jacket. Jade volenteers at the zoo and all the while, she looks out for the boy in the red jacket. She hopes she sees him again because he has the same interst in elephants and she just wants to know him because he seems like his life would be exiting. Everyone should read this book. Boys might not like it but girls will. It is kind of a girly book in some parts but the rest is fine for both genders. Great book!!!

Planet Ladder: Can't Remember

Let's see...after reading the whole series, I feel that in general, it deserves roughly a 7/10? The artwork is pretty nice, although nothing special, and the storyline is interesting enough if somewhat cliche. In the very beginning, the mystery easily gets you, but near the very end, it starts to drone, although I must congragulate the author by not putting out twenty-something-plus just to string everything out. No, Planet Ladder has a nice, neat, lucky number of only seven in the series, which is a good thing, because if there were more, you'd go crazy. I feel that the story is more pointed towards a general audience of preteen girls, so if you were older, you may be easily bored. But this IS the perfect series if you're still in your Cardcaptor stage.
Gossip Girl: Okay, what is the deal with people these days? Is it really so hot to pump out books about girls who unrealistically stab each other in the back constantly, and make guys look like complete lying dogs? Sure, there's some appeal to drama, but when it's WELL WRITTEN. The author uses a typical styled cliche writing that really, should be banned. but for some odd reason, the whole series of Gossip Girl has become a best seller, or whatever it is. Needless to say, it's just a way to make quick cash for the company spitting these books out, using peoples love of drama as a cop-out. But don't get me wrong, years ago, I loved this series. For some very odd reason 2/10 (for the nice glossy cover). Of course, YOU should read it and make your own opinion.

This manga book is very interesting. Most of the book is in chibi form/style. It seem's a bit childesh but Is funny at times, and carrys the ellement of romance. Its a comedy book that you will find yourself getting intreaged by the colorfull nature.

Amici Forever: Defined: Amici Forever

Although I've never reall been found of opera music, the opera band "The Amici Forever" has changed my mind. Somewhat, anyway. The group composes of five opera singers, three men and two women. Their music is infused with just a touch of pop, which i believe is the cinch. Because most opera is really boring to the un-trained ear, the help of the pop sound creates a larger audience range, and the sound is more enjoyable. The voices are lovely, the music good, and the cover is really beautiful. So, go and listen!

Ai Yori Aoshi Volume 15: Fumizuki, Kou

I just finished reading the latest release of Ai Yori Aoshi and I can't wait until the next volume! This volume is more serious then most, but doesn't forget to add a good laugh once and a while. My favorite part about the series is how intact the story is after it's been translated to English. Japanese culture is very strong throughout the series. So, how does a wealthy Japanese heir, a poor college student, an American with a Hakata-ben* accent, a klutzy maid and many other crazy characters live together in a large Western style house? Try the Ai Yori Aoshi series of manga or anime. *Hakata-ben is a regional Japanese accent, like a Southern accent in the United States. (Ai Yori Aoshi does a good job in explaining many Japanese terms like this one).

It is filled with humor, from the strange situations the protagonist Sophie gets herself into to Howl's arrogant antics. Of course, no story is complete without some drama, a requirement Jones fulfills beautifully. Unlike some fantasy novels, Howl's Moving Castle doesn't involve dragons and unicorns, but instead magic, wizards, and of course, a floating castle, all while keeping a slim grasp on reality. The reader follows Sophie through her discovery of a moving castle, its narcissistic inhabitant(the so-called 'evil' wizard Howl), and many more mysterious friends and foes. Never knowing what twists will come next, it is nearly impossible to put down, and is highly recommended.

The Kite Fighters: Linda Sue Park

This book is about two boys in Korea named Young-Sup and Kee-Sup. One day the young king arrives and loves their kites. He asks if he can fly one of them. They say he can. Soon they are best friends and Kee-Sup makes a kite for the King. After a couple days they are invited to come to the palace. Young-Sup and Kee-Sup go and the King tells Young-Sup to fly his kite in the annual kite fight. This is a sport where two players each have a kite in a ring. They are supposed to knock each others kites out of the other player's hands or push their opponent out of the circle. In the end, Young-Sup beats last year's champion and the King is very pleased with him. This book is a good book because it is set in the 1400's and they have a different culture than Americans.

Ender's Game: Orson Scott Card

I thought the Orson Scott Card's Ender's Games was a classic. No other book has such deep thought into a specific character like Card did. He achieved a 10 from me, because he did a fabulous job at the book. I liked the way the character developed and the way Ender stayed the same; compassionate towards other life, but Ender did do what was required to do, such as fight those two nonsense kids. I would advise anybody to read this book!!

This book is a very good retelling of the Shakespeare play, Hamlet. It is from the point of view of Ophelia, the leading lady. Read along as Ophelia describes her life in the court of Elsinore and her relationship with Prince Hamelet of Denmark. This book doesn't use very many confusing, old English word, and it is a very good read. The plot isn't confusing, but it still keeps you guessing a lot about what will happen to the beautiful heroine next. I would recommend it mostly to girls ages 11-15.

I read this book during the summer and it is one of the most complex and intriguing books I have ever read. The plot follows a sympathetic protagonist, Cal, a hermaphrodite, as he morphs from girl to man. It begins with Cal's grandparents and works its way up through Cal's early years and concludes with her ultimate sex change. The whimsical voice and masterful prose creates an amazing yet tough read.
