Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.

The African and African American experience comes alive for children from birth to age 6 (with their favorite adult/family members). Have fun with books and stories, songs, and movement activities in a positive and affirming environment. Black Storytime builds language and literacy skills your child needs to be ready for kindergarten. Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime. 

Portland Insectarium is the city's first museum and zoo dedicated entirely to bugs! In this program there will be a selection of live bugs on display, such as tarantulas, mantises, and scorpions! Some are touchable bugs (roaches, isopods, millipedes), others preserved insect displays. Toys and other activities will be there to explore, plus experts to answer any questions! Suitable for all ages.

Students perform amazing chemical reactions as they measure and mix ingredients and discover substances with strange and surprising properties: polymers. Make two different slimy concoctions for big-time chemistry fun. Topics include chemical reactions, states of matter, polymers and lab procedures. Intended for kids in grades K-5 with a guardian.
