BUGS!
Portland Insectarium is the city's first museum and zoo dedicated entirely to bugs! In this program there will be a selection of live bugs on display, such as tarantulas, mantises, and scorpions! Some are touchable bugs (roaches, isopods, millipedes), others preserved insect displays. Toys and other activities will be there to explore, plus experts to answer any questions! Suitable for all ages.

Learn how to make a crocheted headband. There will be instruction in the basic stitches needed to complete this simple project.
Yarn and crochet hooks will be provided or bring your own.
Read to the Dogs
Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog. The dogs and handlers are from Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Dove Lewis Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams, Paws for Love, and Pet Partners®.
Hot Soups for Teens / Sopas calientes para adolescentes
Hey teens, learn to cook and warm up your body with healthy savory soups. Learn how to make different soups in a pressure cooker, in a blender and in a pot with Chef Edurne Garcia-Andre. Samples will be given at the end of the program. This program is intended for teens.

A safe place where ALL are welcome to be themselves. Find support, eat snacks, get creative, discuss favorite books, and more! Bring a friend, or make a new one. For grades 5-8.
