Friendly Frog Felting

The perfect introduction to feltingsimple animals. In this class you'll learn all about needle felting: what types of fibers work best, selecting appropriate felting needles, and how to sculpt complex shapes. At the end of this class you'll be equipped with the skills to do all sorts of needle felting projects. Let's craft together!

New Holgate Library: Two Generations of Hoop Dance

Two talented Indigenous hoop dancers will share their culture and skills through the art of hoop dance, followed by a Q & A session. Hoop dancing originated as a healing ceremony and continues to be practiced and shared as a form of Indigenous tradition, artistic expression and cultural sharing opportunity. Hoops are utilized to make formations that honor various animals and nature, as well as new and creative designs.

New Holgate Library: Uke Time with Gigs

Participants will learn how to hold, read, and strum along to popular songs from "I Lava You" to "Master of Puppets," while getting the chance to play with other types of ukuleles. Participants will be sent home with material to continue their uke journey! This event is encouraged for all ages.  

Fyre, also known as Giggles, is a two-spirit multidisciplinary artist based in Portland. They mainly focus on music and circus arts.

Learn how to make seed balls from Zenger Farm staff! Seed balls are a great way to add flowers to areas with no plants. A seed ball is a small ball of clay, dirt, and seeds. Seed balls are an ancient Japanese practice called Tsuchi Dango, meaning ‘Earth Dumpling’. Seed balls were reintroduced in 1938 by a Japanese microbiologist and farmer, Masanbu Fukuoka.
